Dubai Police Adds A 907-HP Lamborghini To Its Fleet
Dubai Police has added a 907-hp Lamborghini Temerario to its fleet of high-performance patrol cars.
Dubai Police has added another supercar to its world-famous fleet of high-end patrol vehicles. The latest addition is the Lamborghini Temerario, which has entered service in partnership with Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The supercar combines cutting-edge technology with the tourist police's public-facing role. Beyond its performance, the vehicle is intended to increase police visibility across the city and encourage positive interactions with residents and visitors.
Interestingly, Italy's Polizia also has a Lamborghini Temerario in its fleet.
Built For Public-Facing Police Duties
The Lamborghini Temerario stands out for its dramatic styling, advanced engineering, and powerful hybrid powertrain. It joins a fleet that has become a tourist attraction in its own right, helping Dubai project an image of innovation, safety, and luxury.
According to Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, director of Dubai's Criminal Investigation Department, the addition reflects the city's efforts to balance a visible security presence with community outreach. The high-end patrol cars are designed to help visitors feel safe, promote a positive image of Dubai, and raise awareness of police services.
Colonel Mohammad Abdulrahman Abdulwahid, head of the Tourist Police Department, also highlighted the importance of advanced vehicles and partnerships with the private sector. The fleet primarily operates in busy areas and popular tourist destinations, where officers can serve as an approachable point of contact for questions and public interaction.
A 907-HP Hybrid Supercar
Under the hood, the Lamborghini Temerario pairs a newly developed 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with three electric motors. The hybrid powertrain produces a combined 907 horsepower, allowing the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.7 seconds.
The Temerario's performance makes it a fitting addition to Dubai Police's collection of exotic patrol cars, which includes some of the world's most recognizable high-performance vehicles.
Martino Picotti, general manager of Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, described the handover as a natural continuation of the close relationship between the Italian automaker and the United Arab Emirates.
