Henrik Fisker lance une nouvelle marque qui se nommera Fisker Inc. L'entreprise a pour objectif de produire un véhicule électrique de luxe pour le second semestre de 2017.

Selon Fisker, la nouvelle technologie breveté de batterie de l'entreprise pourrait offrir à ses autos, une autonomie de près de 650 km avec une seule charge. Fisker ne donne pas beaucoup de détails sur projet, mais un croquis déjà dévoilé suggère une ligne audacieuse de la voiture.

La Fisker semble être une voiture assez compacte, avec capot court, et un grand habitacle. Les ailes massives, à l'arrière, semblent privilégier la performance. Dans son CV, Fisker a participé au dessin des BMW Z8 ou Aston Martin V8 et DB9. L'homme s'y connaît donc sur le sujet du luxe sportif. "Ce sera un sportif et spacieux. Et il faut faire quelque chose qui soit beau. Il n'y a pas d'excuses à faire une voiture moche, mais avec une nouvelle technologie. Il va donc reprendre certains détails de mon style", a déclaré Fisker auprès de l'agence Bloomberg.

Technologie révolutionnaire ?

La technologie qui va faire avancer la voiture viendra de la société Fisker Nanotech. Séparée de Fisker Inc, la relation n'en sera pas moins étroite, et l'entité va se concentrer sur la mise au point d'une batterie révolutionnaire. Peu de détails ont filtré, mais l'entreprise semble utiliser le lithium d'une façon inédite par rapport aux méthodes de stockage actuels. "Nous avons déjà développé des protoypes que vous ne verrez nulle part ailleurs", s'est enthousiasmé Jack Kavanaugh, président de Fisker Nanotech.

Fisker Inc souhaite par la suite lancer un modèle plus abordable. Des plans à prendre avec des pincettes, évidemment. Lancer une nouvelle voiture sur le marché actuel, pour une nouvelle entreprise, est évidemment difficile. Fisker le sait très bien. Sa première entreprise, Fisker Automotive, a fait faillite, en 2014. La Karma a notamment été rachetée par une entreprise chinoise.

today announced the relaunch of his eponymous company,
Fisker Inc., and the development of a new, all-electric premium
vehicle featuring a battery technology that will deliver
the world’s longest electric range of any production car
previously developed.
Scheduled to showcase its first premium, all-electric vehicle,
a spiritual successor to the Fisker Karma, in the second half
of 2017, the newly launched Fisker Inc. will create electric
vehicles that break the mold of what’s currently available to
consumers. The vehicle will feature a patented battery that
will deliver a significantly longer life and range than any
battery currently on the market. Fisker Nanotech, the battery
arm of Fisker Inc., will pioneer the development of these
game-changing batteries.

The battery chemistry is unlike anything used by an electric
vehicle to date, designed to increase power and provide
a longer battery life, while introducing a new packaging
methodology and lightweight materials in the battery pack.
